Week 8

3rd-7th April
Following the meetings last week, I spent this week making up and finalising the new storyboards for each of the NfP videos, which were to be reviewed in a meeting on Thursday. As I expected it was challenging to come up with unique and creative ideas for 4 different videos, even if they were short time-wise. The meeting notes helped greatly in establishing the overall theme, and then the majority of my time was spent on how to individualise each video and allowing it to stand out. In some instances, I reused transitions and effect plans I had initially used in my first storyboard draft. The storyboard for RFDS is still very rough, as they have yet to send anything through. Genevieve is following them up on this and their other event content plans.
I also spoke with Genevieve early in the week to brainstorm some concepts and to get some
feedback from her on my approach, which was very helpful in getting started with my work for the week.
On Thursday, I met with Genevieve, Leanne and Mark and presented all of my storyboards in a
rather lengthy meeting. The team gave me some really valuable feedback, and were very
appreciative of the work I had done. Overall the storyboards were approved, with minor
adjustments needing to be made here and there and a bit of tweaking for some of the colours and aesthetics I had in mind. Sometimes it helps to hear from people who are well-familiar with an organisation on what their 'social' brand is, in comparison to how they may appear online.
Next week, I believe I have enough content to begin the draft of the first video, which will be SVHA's.
